Теоретически моделируемая популяция, характеризующаяся неограниченными постоянными размерами, в И.п. отсутствует действие отбора и влияние внешней среды (или эти параметры могут специально задаваться), имеет место панмиксия panmixis и образуется многочисленное потомство.* * *Популяция идеальная — популяция, которая не встречается в природе и используется только в математических моделях (см. Моделирование). Принимается, что популяция очень велика по количеству особей или бесконечна, постоянно сохраняет свой объем, или размер (см. Популяции эффективная величина), и не подвергается действию отбора и внешней среды, а отдельные ее члены имеют многочисленное потомство и могут спариваться друг с другом по принципу случайности (см. Панмиксия). Если бы П. и. существовала в естественных (природных) условиях, то прекратилась бы всякая эволюция, поскольку все гены и хромосомы находились бы в состоянии постоянного равновесия (см.
